Hull FC have secured two loan deals for Ben Johnson and Lennon Clark – and have confirmed that Joe Phillips has left the club.<\/p>\n

Phillips was signed from Goole<\/a> Vikings ahead of the 2026 season. However, the young prop, who never made a first-team appearance, instead featuring for the reserves side, has been released to pursue other opportunities in the sport.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Clark has joined Goole on a one week loan deal and will get some important game time in the Championship. The Vikings play Keighley Cougars this Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Likewise, Johnson will get some welcome first grade experience at Hunslet, who take on Widnes Vikings. Both players made their Super League debuts at Leigh Leopards last month.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the loan moves, interim head coach Andy Last told Hull Live: “It’s a good opportunity for them. Scott (Taylor) asked if there would be any players available for selection.<\/p>\n

“Lenny has played really well in the reserve grade. He’s been a strong performer all season there. He also did a good job in the first-team at Leigh and he’s someone who needs to be exposed to playing at a high level.<\/p>\n

“It’s the same with Ben and the opportunity to go out and play on loan was one that I didn’t think we could turn down. The players are happy to get that first team exposure and get the opportunity to go and play. I’m sure they will go out and play well.”<\/p>\n

Both players are out of contract at Hull this year and need the gametime. On that reality, Last added: “It’s something I’ve touched on before; the reserve grade is all well and good, but it’s a little bit inconsistent. You can play one game and then have two weeks off and you can play another game and have three weeks off.<\/p>\n

“The more regular gametime that those guys can get, the better it is for them. They are both off contract at the end of the year and the best way they can show what they can do is to play.
