{"id":644353,"date":"2026-06-18T00:05:11","date_gmt":"2026-06-18T00:05:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/644353\/"},"modified":"2026-06-18T00:05:11","modified_gmt":"2026-06-18T00:05:11","slug":"hsbc-championships-2026-results-updates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/644353\/","title":{"rendered":"HSBC Championships 2026: Results &#038; updates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>British No.1 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lta.org.uk\/fan-zone\/british-tennis-players\/emma-raducanu\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Emma Raducanu<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lta.org.uk\/fan-zone\/british-tennis-players\/katie-boulter\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Katie Boulter<\/a> made winning starts to their HSBC Championships campaigns in front of the home crowd on the Andy Murray Arena.<\/p>\n<p>In the opening match of the day, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lta.org.uk\/fan-zone\/international\/hsbc-championships\/news\/2026\/emma-raducanu-sprints-into-second-round-at-the-queens-club\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Raducanu sealed a comfortable 6-0, 6-3 victory <\/a>over qualifier Anna Blinkova in an hour and four minutes.<\/p>\n<p>The British star lost just six points in a dominant opening set and, despite her opponent&#8217;s improved level in the second set, broke three times to complete the victory.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s Raducanu&#8217;s first tour-level victory since Indian Wells in March, as the former quarter-finalist marches on to face Sorana Cirstea.<\/p>\n<p>World No.18 Cirstea came through a tough battle with Maddison Inglis 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 to book a meeting with Raducanu. Their second round clash will be a repeat of the Transylvania Open final earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>Boulter returned to court on Tuesday to complete her first-round clash against eighth seed and former US Open finalist Leylah Fernandez, sealing a comeback 3-6, 7-6(4), 7-5 victory.<\/p>\n<p>The match was suspended yesterday with Fernandez leading 6-3, 3-3 but it was Boulter who made the faster start when the match resumed. The Brit raised her level and reeled off the final four points in the second set tie-break to level the scoreboard.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1781741111_213_2026-katie-boulter-wave-hsbc-championships-r1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1912\" height=\"1274\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Boulter carried that intensity into the decider &#8211; breaking immediately to surge into a 4-2 lead.
