Jon Bon Jovi<\/a> has great news for fans as he reveals that he is \u201cfully recovered\u201d from an arduous vocal cord surgery four years ago.<\/p>\n The iconic band Bon Jovi are gearing up for three nights at Wembley Stadium on September 4th, 6th, and 9th later this year, as part of their Forever Tour<\/a>, which will include a nine-night Madison Square Garden residency starting in New York this July.<\/p>\n In a new interview with People<\/a>, the band\u2019s iconic frontman revealed that he is finally back on top after being knocked sideways four years ago by vocal surgery.<\/p>\n Discussing the nature of the operation, he shared, \u201cI\u2019d often joked and said the only thing that\u2019s ever been up my nose was my finger. I never did anything to hurt the chords; I didn\u2019t have any excesses. I\u2019m a trained vocalist. I\u2019ve practiced the craft. So when a doctor had to explain to me that one of the chords was literally atrophying, it was confusing.\u201d<\/p>\n However, the 64-year-old admitted happily, \u201cI\u2019m fully recovered. It was longer than I\u2019d ever expected, but it had to be right. We never lost faith.\u201d<\/p>\n Thankfully, he had his bandmates right by his side during the whole ordeal. He explained, \u201cThey never doubted me and never looked for work or decided to retire. The sacrifices that each one of them have made to be there for me is on a whole \u2018nother level.\u201d<\/p>\n He elaborated, \u201cThey said, \u2018No, we\u2019re with you.\u2019 Every day of every rehearsal they were there with me. My love for them has only deepened.\u201d<\/p>\n Looking ahead at the string of live performances awaiting the rockers, the vocalist shared that their return to stage is \u201cnot about perfection. It\u2019s about excellence.<\/a>\u201c<\/p>\n He concluded, \u201cIt\u2019s like I have the gift to be able to hold this light. The gift that I receive is being in the reflection of that light when it hits the audience, and that\u2019s what I\u2019ve been working for \u2014 I\u2019ve been training to find the ability to hold that light. It\u2019s like this whole spiritual communion between the band and me and the audience.\u201d<\/p>\n
