Kate Middleton<\/a> likely made a little girl\u2019s year at Royal Ascot<\/a> this week.<\/p>\n The Princess of Wales<\/a> arrived at the prestigious event in Berkshire<\/a> on Wednesday in a carriage with her husband, Prince William<\/a>, and the Duke and Duchess of Richmond and Gordon.<\/p>\n As the royals<\/a> chatted away in their seats on the racecourse grounds, crowds gathered to get a glimpse of the future king and queen.<\/p>\n This included a young girl, who, among the voices feigning to get the royals\u2019 attention, called out for the princess.<\/p>\n While at first Kate seemed to miss the shoutout, she soon heard the youngster calling \u2018Princess Kate!\u2019 and turned around to greet her.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tSign up for all of the latest stories\t\t\t<\/p>\n Start your day informed with Metro’s News Updates<\/a> newsletter or get Breaking News<\/a> alerts the moment it happens. <\/p>\n And, thanks to social media<\/a>, a video of the sweet moment has now been shared online.<\/p>\n The footage shows Kate, who was wearing a yellow dress (reported to cost \u00a31,095 from the label Roksanda) and a butter yellow hat, seemingly making eye contact with the little girl, who was out of shot.<\/p>\n Kate then laughed and said: \u2018I can still see you,\u2019 which suggests the shy child had hidden from view, perhaps behind her parent.<\/p>\n After the adorable interaction, the crowd could also be heard laughing, before Kate turned back around to carry on with the conversation.<\/p>\n The video was posted to a social media account dedicated to the royal family, and on TikTok<\/a>, has since attracted almost 33,000 views.<\/p>\n It was shared with the caption: \u2018Princess Catherine: such a wonderfully gentle touch. That simple warmth really does melt the heart.\u2019<\/p>\n Plenty of royal fans quickly took to the comments section to praise the future queen for her humility, too.<\/p>\n \u2018Adorable!!!!! Kate\u00a0loves children,\u2019 one person penned, while another said: \u2018She\u2019s so beautiful and kind.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t Aside from talking about the wholesome moment, many others complimented Kate\u2019s outfit.<\/p>\n \u2018She\u2019s stunning in that yellow dress,\u2019 a different fan said, as someone else echoed: \u2018That dress looks stunning on her.\u2019<\/p>\n Kate and William weren\u2019t the only royals in attendance at Ascot.
