\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Following their big sale of the rom com One Month Mark to Apple, Chernin Entertainment has another sexy package hitting the market this weekend as sources tell Deadline Chernin has boarded Palm Grove<\/a>, an original, big-screen erotic thriller by James Morosini starring Kate Hudson<\/a> and Ana de Armas<\/a> with directed by Korn\u00e9l Mundrucz\u00f3. Insiders say the package will hit the streets tomorrow and is sure to attract a number of buyers given the star power.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe story is set in Miami\u2019s most exclusive neighborhood, where a picture-perfect wife uncovers her husband\u2019s double life \u2013 igniting a seductive power game that turns betrayal into the most intoxicating game of her life.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film is an original screenplay by Morosini\u00a0who will also executive produce.\u00a0Mundruczo\u00a0is attached to direct. Peter Chernin, David Ready, and Brady Fujikawa will produce on behalf of Chernin Entertainment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThis comes shortly after Chernin Entertainment landed Sophie Fleur de Bruijn\u2019s highly sought-after, buzzy new rom-com\u00a0One Month Mark, starring Jennifer Lawrence, with Apple Original Films in a highly competitive situation. Chernin Entertainment\u2019s recent hit projects include\u00a0Backrooms, which has already grossed more than $260 million worldwide;\u00a0Apex, which premiered in April and climbed to No. 1 on the Netflix global English film list; and\u00a0Man on Fire, which debuted in April as the No. 1 TV show in the world on Netflix.<\/p>\n

\n\tHudson is having herself quite a run over the last 12 months starting with her Oscar-nominated performance in\u00a0Song Sung Blue. The film also earned her a SAG, BAFTA and Golden Globe nom as well as some of the best reviews of her career. She is an executive producer and stars in the hit Netflix series,\u00a0Running Point, which has been picked up for a third season.<\/p>\n

\n\tShe is currently filming\u00a0Hello & Paris, opposite Javier Bardem.<\/p>\n

\n\tBest known for her roles in\u00a0Blonde, which earned her Academy Award nomination and\u00a0Knives Out, for which she received a Golden Globe nomination; de Armas was most recently seen starring in the Lionsgate action pic\u00a0Ballerina\u00a0and\u00a0No Time to Die. <\/p>\n

\n\tShe is currently in production on the Apple TV+ limited series\u00a0Safe Houses.<\/p>\n

\n\tMundrucz\u00f3 is an award-winning Hungarian filmmaker whose acclaimed works include Cannes prize winner\u00a0White God\u00a0and\u00a0Pieces of a Woman, executive produced by Martin Scorsese. Most recently,\u00a0At the Sea\u00a0premiered in Competition at the 2026 Berlinale, and he has wrapped production on\u00a0The Place to Be.<\/p>\n

\n\tMorosini wrote, directed and starred in\u00a0I Love My Dad\u00a0which won the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at SXSW before its distribution via Magnolia. He sold his original screenplay\u00a0Mommy\u2019s Home\u00a0to Lionsgate and elevated comedy spec\u00a0Inner Child to Universal\u00a0which is being adapted for the Lego Universe. Next up he\u2019ll direct his original screenplay\u00a0Bulls\u00a0with Dylan O\u2019Brien, Lewis Pullman & Kaia Gerber attached to star. He most recently starred in the Sundance and Netflix hit It\u2019s What\u2019s Inside.<\/p>\n
