A major focus of the Double will be inspiring and supporting the next generation. Every school in London will receive two guaranteed entries for teachers or staff, recognising that the spark to get active often begins in the classroom.\u202f \u00a0<\/p>\n
All\u202fadditional\u202fincome generated by the Double will be distributed by the London Marathon Foundation to projects that\u202finspire activity\u202ffor\u202fchildren and young people\u202facross\u202fLondon and the UK.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
To ensure local communities share in the occasion, extra guaranteed entries have also been\u202fallocated\u202fto every London borough along the route, enabling grassroots groups and charities to take part and benefit from the expanded event.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Double will crown a full week of TCS London Marathon celebrations, beginning with an extended TCS London Marathon Running Show and featuring TCS London Marathon & Friday Night Lights 5K. The week will also include the TCS Mini London Marathon\u202f-\u202fthe world\u2019s largest one-day timed children\u2019s event\u202f-\u202fwhich in 2027 will take place on Friday 23 April and\u202fwill\u202fwelcome\u202fmore than 20,000 young participants.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
