While Apple hasn&#8217;t revealed how much its products will cost, a new report by The Wall Street Journal and research firm TechInsights estimates the price of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro.<\/p>\n<p>According to TechInsights&#8217; estimates, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/apple_iphone_17_pro-14049.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 17 Pro<\/a> with 12GB DRAM cost Apple $39 last year. The same amount of RAM on the base model of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, expected to have 256GB storage onboard, could cost Apple $145. The 256GB storage, which previously cost Apple $13, could now cost around $51.<\/p>\n<p>Producing the base model of iPhone 17 Pro reportedly cost Apple around $582, but the iPhone 18 Pro is estimated to cost $726.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"799\" alt=\"Apple iPhone 17 Pro\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1781867115_793_gsmarena_001.jpg\"\/><br \/>\nApple iPhone 17 Pro<\/p>\n<p>TechInsights&#8217; research suggests Apple had a 47% profit margin on the base iPhone 17 Pro with 256GB of storage, priced at $1,099 in the US. If Apple maintains the same profit margin on the iPhone 18 Pro, it would have to charge $1,371 for the smartphone. However, after standard pricing adjustments, the base iPhone 18 Pro could cost $1,299, yielding a 44% gross profit.<\/p>\n<p>Apple iPhone 17 Pro<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s not all, though. Rumors claim the iPhone 18 Pro will use a new camera system featuring a variable-aperture lens, which could cost Apple at least 50% more than the current system.
