{"id":648053,"date":"2026-06-20T00:17:22","date_gmt":"2026-06-20T00:17:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/648053\/"},"modified":"2026-06-20T00:17:22","modified_gmt":"2026-06-20T00:17:22","slug":"crowlands-heath-golf-course-redevelopment-plans-submitted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/648053\/","title":{"rendered":"Crowlands Heath Golf Course redevelopment plans submitted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  The project would see Crowlands Heath Golf Course &#8211; which straddles land in both Havering and Barking and Dagenham &#8211; bulldozed and built on.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Homes4Life, led by director Marc Pennick, is the developer at the helm of this proposal.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Whilst the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.romfordrecorder.co.uk\/news\/26182650.crowlands-heath-golf-course-housing-plans---know\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">idea first came to light in October 2025<\/a>, official plans were only lodged last week (w\/c June 8).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A spokesperson from the firm told this paper: &#8220;The long-awaited planning application for Crowlands Heath has been lodged.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;H4Life will now let the planning process move forward.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Marc Pennick says he is exceptionally proud, excited and committed to be delivering so many affordable homes for local people and the NHS.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\" alt=\"CGI of H4Life Ltd proposed housing estate in Dagenham\"\/>CGI of proposed housing estate (Image: Kanda)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In October, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barkinganddagenhampost.co.uk\/news\/25547209.crowlands-heath-golf-course-dagenham-become-1-000-homes\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">this paper saw a letter addressed to residents living near the site<\/a> detailing that Homes4Life had agreed to purchase the golf course and in March this year the decision to sell the land was reconfirmed in a Barking and Dagenham Council cabinet meeting.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Mr Pennick added: &#8220;My proposal delivers for people on waiting lists in need of housing and in particular three-four bed houses.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;I\u2019ve done my bit so will let people decide &#8211; do we want:\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Balls or beds? Greens or gardens? Green fees or free open space?
