Michael Olise’s future remains the subject of speculation as the summer transfer window hots up, with the Bayern Munich star now strutting his stuff for France at the World Cup\"EAST<\/p>\n

Bayern Munich want to hand in-demand Michael Olise<\/a> a lucrative new contract in order to fend off interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Liverpool<\/a>. Olise, 24, is currently starring at the World Cup<\/a> with France<\/a> after a sensational season with Bayern<\/a> in which he won the Bundesliga<\/a> Player of the Year award.<\/p>\n

But the winger’s future remains uncertain, with Real<\/a> said to be preparing a world-record bid worth \u00a3190million. Liverpool<\/a> and Paris Saint-Germain<\/a> have also been linked with the former Crystal Palace<\/a> star, who left Selhurst Park in a deal worth up to \u00a351m<\/a> in July 2024.<\/p>\n

The Frenchman put pen to paper on a contract which runs until 2029, but now Bayern want to extend his stay. Multiple reports claim that chiefs at the Allianz Arena are willing to over him a new five-year contract in order to secure his long-term future.<\/p>\n

His salary would increase from \u00a313m per season to an eye-watering \u00a322m, crucially more than what he’d earn in Madrid. In addition, Bayern president Herbert Hainer insists that they won’t listen to offers for Olise.<\/p>\n

Hainer recently told Bild<\/a>: “Michael Olise is a Bayern Munich<\/a> player who still has a long-term contract – and we are not a club that sells players. If Florentino Perez<\/a> wants to send us an offer – which hasn’t happened yet – he can save himself the trouble.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, ex-Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge<\/a> claimed that the German giants wouldn’t ‘flinch’ at any price tag. “Let me tell you a story from the past,” Rummenigge began.<\/p>\n

“In 2009, we had an incredible offer from Chelsea<\/a> for Franck Ribery<\/a>. At the time, it would have been a new world<\/a> transfer record. I then went to our then CFO, Karl Hopfner, and Uli Hoeness<\/a> with this offer.<\/p>\n

“We discussed it for two hours, trying to figure out what to do with it. That day, we made a fundamental decision: that in the future, we would never sell a player we would miss on the pitch.<\/p>\n

“And this unwritten rule still applies today. For a player like Olise, there’s no price tag that would make us flinch.”<\/p>\n

Rummenigge went on to say of Olise: “He’s a wonderful player. I also appreciate how reserved and almost media-shy he is. That’s rare these days.<\/p>\n

“He’s a great guy, and on the pitch, he’s outstanding, the way he plays football is almost magical. So it doesn’t surprise me that he’s incredibly popular and hyped among our fans”<\/p>\n

Olise registered 15 goals and 21 assists in 32 league games for Bayern as they retained the Bundesliga title. The 24-year-old notched another two assists in France’s 3-1 win against Senegal<\/a> on Tuesday at the World Cup.<\/p>\n
