Former Catalans Dragons half-back and Super League Grand Finalist James Maloney will continue his playing career at the age of 40.<\/p>\n

Maloney spent two seasons with Catalans in 2020 and 2021, and in his second year at the club helped them to their first-ever Grand Final.<\/p>\n

They would come up short that day, losing 12-10 to St Helens, but Maloney will still go down as one of the Dragons\u2019 biggest overseas signings.<\/p>\n

Now, after playing for boyhood club Ourimbah Wyoming Magpies<\/a> in the Central Coast competition last year, he has moved to Picton Magpies and will make his debut this weekend.<\/p>\n

Announcing the signing via social media, Picton will take on Campbelltown City Kangaroos on Sunday, a game in which Maloney is set to debut.<\/p>\n

The 40-year-old is a two-time NRL Grand Final winner, a former New South Wales Origin player and a three-time Australian international.<\/p>\n
