Peckham fitness instructor Shane \u2018No Shane No Gain\u2019 Williams will be running free outdoor boxing classes for young people aged 13 \u2013 20 in Burgess Park starting on July 7th. <\/p>\n

The one hour classes will take place every Tuesday throughout summer and will not only teach fitness but also key skills like discipline and character building.<\/p>\n

Classes will be taught by trained boxing coaches and personal trainers Shane Williams, Michael Bates and Ethan Melhado.<\/p>\n

Born and bred in Peckham, Shane says he has a \u201cpassion for a safer London\u201d and has \u201clost one too many friends and family members to knife crime.\u201d<\/p>\n

Williams, who has nearly 50,000 followers on Instagram, offered free workouts to Southwark residents during Covid and regularly posts motivation messages about fitness, health, and the importance of being a good role model.<\/p>\n

Shane said: \u201cI cannot, and I will not, stand by and watch these young lives slip away. From this moment forward, I pledge to do everything in my power to give them a better future.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe I cant stop it alone, but if I can keep 50 people safe for an hour with me, it\u2019s a start.\u201d<\/p>\n

There time for the classes just yet because Shane will look at running two sessions back to back if there is enough interest. It will most likely be after school. <\/p>\n
