Late-night hosts looked back over a weekend of sporting victory in New York and national embarrassment in Washington DC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jimmy Kimmel<\/p>\n

On Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> Live! the host said that in New York, the weekend saw \u201cone shooting, four stabbings, 63 arrests, relatively lowkey\u201d after the historic Knicks victory.<\/p>\n

After showing footage of celebratory New Yorkers, he then compared it to \u201ca sporting event that didn\u2019t bring people together this weekend\u201d.<\/p>\n

Kimmel spoke about Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s \u201cbig violent birthday party\u201d, which saw him turn \u201cthe White House into a Waffle House\u201d as \u201cthe orange one turning 80\u201d.<\/p>\n

For his birthday, the president planned a UFC match on the front lawn with \u201call the refinement and prestige of a Hooters at the Vatican\u201d.<\/p>\n

Kimmel showed footage of the event, saying it was \u201clike a mini January 6th\u201d with various fighters getting ready. \u201cNo one should be wearing shorts at the White House,\u201d he said before adding that it would now smell of \u201cjockstraps and Axe body spray\u201d.<\/p>\n

He joked that Melania \u201cseemed to have fun watching someone else get trapped in a cage at the White House\u201d while her husband\u2019s \u201cankles were swelling with pride\u201d.<\/p>\n

Kimmel said \u201che almost stayed awake for the whole thing\u201d before joking that he took a \u201cUFC fiesta\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnly Donald Trump<\/a> could fall asleep at a birthday party sponsored by Monster energy drink,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

This week also saw his name officially removed from the Kennedy Center yet not from the \u201cTrump-Epstein files\u201d as Kimmel likes to call them.<\/p>\n

The president allegedly reached an agreement with Iran which has been referred to as a \u201cmemorandum of understanding\u201d leading the host to jokingly call Trump\u2019s book \u201cThe Art of the Memorandum of Understanding\u201d.<\/p>\n

Trump is now in France for the G7 summit. \u201cUsually when someone of Trump\u2019s age hears G7 they shout bingo,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n

Jon Stewart<\/p>\n

On the Daily Show, Jon Stewart<\/a> asked, \u201cWhat kind of fucking idiot would try and dangle billions of dollars in exchange for a deal with Iran?\u201d before showing that Trump is trying to do exactly that.<\/p>\n

He also spoke about the Knicks victory and joked that New Yorkers handled it with an \u201cappropriate level of chill\u201d before showing footage of chaos in the streets.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis whole moment really showed the joy and beauty of life in this big city,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Yet rightwing news shows tried to claim it was the opposite and that it was a violent and unsafe weekend in the city. \u201cI was there, you\u2019re lying,\u201d he responded.<\/p>\n

He said that it \u201ccouldn\u2019t live up to your definition of a peaceful gathering\u201d before showing footage of January 6. \u201cTo be fair to that mob, they lost,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He also spoke about Trump\u2019s UFC party, comparing it to Las Vegas and referring to Trump as a \u201cgladiator\u2019s god\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIs this a parody?\u201d he asked. \u201cAre they filming Idiocracy?\u201d<\/p>\n

He mentioned fighter Josh Hokit\u2019s vile comment about Michelle Obama, referring to him as a \u201cfucking asshole\u201d.<\/p>\n

Stewart compared it to \u201ca slightly more violent hooters\u201d and said that despite rightwing coverage, \u201cno Americans are more real than New Yorkers\u201d.<\/p>\n

Seth Meyers<\/p>\n

On Late Night, Seth Meyers said that Trump\u2019s Iran deal has \u201caccomplished nothing but getting us back to where we were before the war began\u201d.<\/p>\n

He referred to the vibe in New York over the weekend as being like a \u201ccross between Mardi Gras, Coachella and that rave from the Matrix\u201d.<\/p>\n

He said it \u201call feels bigger than just sports\u201d before saying that Trump\u2019s name being taken off the Kennedy Center has people \u201cexcited\u201d in DC.<\/p>\n

Trump was \u201ctrying to hide an embarrassing thing but failing\u201d with pictures showing the removal despite attempts to bury it.<\/p>\n

He moved on to the UFC party, saying \u201cI\u2019m sure the founding fathers would have loved\u201dit and reminded viewers that it only had a 16% approval rating from Americans.<\/p>\n

The weather forecast was bad for the day which led the official White House account to call out the Weather Channel page, referring to the person who wrote the post as a friendless loser.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry they\u2019re a friendless loser?\u201d Meyers said. \u201cOK person who just picked a fight with the Weather Channel.\u201d<\/p>\n
