{"id":652205,"date":"2026-06-22T13:25:14","date_gmt":"2026-06-22T13:25:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/652205\/"},"modified":"2026-06-22T13:25:14","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T13:25:14","slug":"boy-14-charged-with-murder-over-battersea-stabbing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/652205\/","title":{"rendered":"Boy, 14, charged with murder over Battersea stabbing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A 14-year-old boy has been charged with murdering a teenager who was stabbed to death in Battersea, south-west London.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Jamal Coombes, 17, was found fatally wounded after emergency services were called to Glycena Road at about 04:20 BST on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 14-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due to appear at Highbury Corner Youth Court charged with murder and possession of a bladed article, the Metropolitan Police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A boy and a girl, both aged 15, who were arrested on suspicion of murder have since been released on bail.
