Her ethnicity and where she&#8217;s from explained.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.capitalfm.com\/news\/tv-film\/love-island\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Love Island<\/a> 2026 has been full of drama, will-they-won&#8217;t they&#8217;s, brutal dumpings and so much more. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\">Amid the chaos, one Islander who&#8217;s stood out is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.capitalfm.com\/news\/tv-film\/love-island\/mica-harris-age-job-family-where-from-barbados\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mica Harris.<\/a> Not only do fans love her, her co-stars are truly obsessed and would hate to see her leave the villa. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\">While Mica has mentioned a couple of times being from Barbados, people still have some questions about where she&#8217;s from and her ethnicity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\">Before going into the villa, Mica explained her ethnicity in a video for Love Island.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Mica Harris is on Love Island\" class=\"content-image\" data-image-catalogue-id=\"822750\" width=\"660\" height=\"370\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/822750.webp\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>    Mica Harris is on Love Island.<\/p>\n<p>Picture:<br \/>\nInstagram<\/p>\n<p>Where is Love Island&#8217;s Mica Harris from?<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\">Mica currently lives in London but grew up in Barbados and Australia, where her parents are from. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\">In her audio description, Mica said: &#8220;I live in London but I&#8217;m from Barbados and Australia. I&#8217;m White Australian and Black Caribbean.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\">Her mum is from Barbados while her dad is from Australia. Just by taking a look at her Instagram it appears she&#8217;s spent a lot of time in Barbados. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\">Mica moved to London, where she lives now, to study in 2023.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1782163041_540_hqdefault.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Audio Described: Mica | Love Island 2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\">Before the villa, Mica revealed how she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.capitalfm.com\/news\/tv-film\/love-island\/mica-harris-famous-family-aunt-rihanna\/\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">met Rihanna<\/a> in Barbados because of her famous auntie. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\">Mica&#8217;s aunt, Mia Mottley, is currently the Prime Minister for Barbados. Mia has held the position since 2018 and recently celebrated securing all 30 parliamentary seats for the third time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\">Speaking about getting to meet Rihanna, Mica said: &#8220;She was staying two houses down from my grandparents and my aunt was taking me to see them. But then we turned up outside this house I didn\u2019t recognise and Auntie Mia said, \u2018Surprise, you\u2019re meeting Rihanna!\u2019&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\">Revealing what it was like to meet Rihanna, the Love Island star said: &#8220;She\u2019s the loveliest person.
