Castleford Tigers have allowed one of their youngsters to go on loan to the Championship, in a bid to aid his development.<\/p>\n

Sam Grice has joined West Yorkshire outfit Hunslet RLFC for the remainder of the season, as he looks to earn his first opportunity at senior level.<\/p>\n

The forward has featured for the Tigers\u2019 reserves this season, and has featured in both the back row and at loose forward.<\/p>\n

He is yet to make his Super League debut, but a strong showing in the second tier could progress his chances of an appearance under Ryan Carr, who has been vocal about his want to see the next generation come through.<\/p>\n

Grice joins a Hunslet side that sit 15th in the Championship, having won five out of 16 matches.<\/p>\n

The Parksiders have had to rely on loans a lot this season, with the likes of Leeds Rhinos and Hull FC previously sending out their next generation to the club to help cover their injuries.<\/p>\n

Hunslet travel to Cumbria this week to take on Workington Town, in a game that could see the youngster make his debut.<\/p>\n

Castleford\u2019s Director of Rugby, Chris Chester, commented on the loan move, saying: \u201cThis loan will allow Sam to get some valuable game time under his belt in a good competition, and help his Rugby League development by playing senior rugby on a regular basis.\u201d<\/p>\n
