Well, that escalated quickly. If you\u2019ve seen the House Of The Dragon Season 3<\/a> premiere, you\u2019ll know that the Targaryen civil war has taken yet another turn for the disastrous courtesy of a legendary naval bloodbath known as the Battle Of The Gullet<\/a>. (And, if you haven\u2019t seen the Season 3 premiere, stop reading here.) A waterborne face-off between the Sea Snake, Lord Corlys \u2013 fighting on behalf of Rhaenyra Targaryen \u2013 and Sharako Lohar and the Triarchy \u2013 on behalf of Alicent Hightower \u2013 ended in total devastation. And things are only going to get deadlier from here.<\/p>\n

A new trailer has arrived, teasing what\u2019s to come in the rest of this season \u2013 and the Dance Of The Dragons is going to rapidly escalate in the wake of (LAST SPOILER WARNING) Rhaenyra losing her firstborn son Jacaerys in the battle. Watch it here:<\/p>\n

As showrunner Ryan Condal told Empire recently<\/a>, post-Gullet is where the Targaryen civil war enters total freefall. Safe to say, Rhaenyra wants payback for yet another crushing personal loss; Rhaena has some explaining to do for what happened with Sheepstealer amid the battle; James Norton\u2019s incoming Ormund Hightower is about to make some major power plays; the charred Aegon wants to settle scores with his psychopathic little brother Aemond; and it looks like King\u2019s Landing might be in for an invasion. It\u2019s a tantalising tease at what\u2019s to come. And how\u2019s this for a banger Rhaenyra line: \u201cI will never have justice. But what crumbs of it may be snatched, I will devour.\u201d Chills!<\/p>\n

There\u2019s plenty to come, then, in the next seven episodes of Season 3 \u2013 and with Season 4 confirmed to be the show\u2019s last<\/a>, the Targaryen dynasty\u2019s days are numbered.
