{"id":654623,"date":"2026-06-23T20:46:11","date_gmt":"2026-06-23T20:46:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/654623\/"},"modified":"2026-06-23T20:46:11","modified_gmt":"2026-06-23T20:46:11","slug":"schoolboy-artist-captures-cheerful-charlie-in-new-portrait","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/654623\/","title":{"rendered":"Schoolboy artist captures &#8216;Cheerful Charlie&#8217; in new portrait"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Visitors to the Lincolnshire Show (17-18 June) watched a portrait of Clarkson\u2019s Farm adviser Charlie Ireland come to life over two days on a school stand.<\/p>\n<p>The artwork, created live by Worksop College year 10 pupil Henry, became a talking point at the show as visitors returned to see the portrait gradually emerge from a blank canvas.<\/p>\n<p>Known to viewers as \u201cCheerful Charlie\u201d, Mr Ireland has become a familiar face through his role alongside Jeremy Clarkson, providing practical advice on the realities of running a farm business.<\/p>\n<p>See also: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fwi.co.uk\/farm-life\/health-and-wellbeing\/clarkson-urges-men-to-get-checked-after-cancer-diagnosis\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Clarkson urges men to \u2018get checked\u2019 after cancer diagnosis<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Away from television, Mr Ireland is an agricultural consultant with Ceres Rural specialising in farm management and strategic planning.<\/p>\n<p>He has worked with Mr Clarkson since 2009, helping the farming business navigate commercial and regulatory challenges.<\/p>\n<p>A cheerful visitor<\/p>\n<p>During the show, Mr Ireland visited the Worksop College and Ranby House stand, where he met pupils, staff and members of the public.
