\n The Paisley singer made a blink\u2011and\u2011you\u2011miss\u2011it appearance as an uncredited extra in hit BBC comedy Still Game<\/a>, and even the cast did not realise at the time.\n<\/p>\n

\n The story was revealed by Sanjeev Kohli<\/a>, who played shopkeeper Navid Harrid, during a chat with Jackie McNamara and Simon Donnelly on Not Another Football Podcast<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n

\n Kohli said: \u201cPaolo Nutini was in Still Game. It was before he was famous. He gets onto a bus, he\u2019s about age 14.\u201d<\/a>\n<\/p>\n

\n The moment appears in the episode \u201cCourting\u201d, which first aired on 20 September 2002 as the third episode of the first series.\n<\/p>\n

\n The storyline follows Jack asking out Barbara, who works in a charity shop, leaving his pal Victor feeling left out, while Winston finds himself barred from The Clansman and forced to drink elsewhere.\n<\/p>\n

\n Somewhere in the background of that Craiglang day, a future Paisley star was quietly getting off a bus.\n<\/p>\n

\n At the time Nutini was still a local teenager expected to follow his dad into the family fish and chip business. His family\u2019s shop, Castelvecchi<\/a>, has been a Paisley institution for more than a century.\n<\/p>\n

\n For Still Game fans, it is a small slice of shared Glasgow and Paisley history that has been hiding in plain sight for more than 20 years \u2013 and a surprise even for the cast, who only found out decades later.\n<\/p>\n
