Brandon Flowers<\/a>\u00a0has announced a headline tour of the UK,\u00a0Ireland\u00a0and North America in support of his upcoming solo album \u2018Thrasher<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n

The Killers<\/a>\u00a0frontman\u00a0will hit the road this autumn for a run of shows across North America, the UK and Ireland, with the UK leg including a night at London\u2019s Royal Albert Hall on October 15.<\/p>\n

The dates follow the announcement of \u2018Thrasher\u2019<\/a>, Flowers\u2019 third solo album and first since 2015\u2019s \u2018The Desired Effect<\/a>\u2019, which is set for release on August 21 via Island Records\u00a0\u2013 pre-order it\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The album\u2019s first single, \u2018Plans\u2019,\u00a0is scheduled to\u00a0arrive this Friday (June 26).<\/p>\n

Tickets for the UK and Ireland dates go on general sale on Friday July 3 at 10am\u00a0here<\/a>. Fans who pre-order the album will also be able to access a presale from Wednesday July 1 at 10am.<\/p>\n

North American pre-sale begins at 10am on Thursday (June 25), while the general sale is at the same time on Friday (June 26)\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Royal Albert Hall show will mark Flowers\u2019 first full performance at the venue since The Killers\u2019 2009 shows there, which were later released as the live album and concert film \u2018Live\u00a0From\u00a0The\u00a0Royal Albert Hall<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u2018Thrasher\u2019\u00a0features\u00a0a number of\u00a0renowned Nashville players, including David Rawlings on guitar, pedal steel player Bruce\u00a0Bouton\u00a0and Charlie McCoy, the 85-year-old harmonica player whose work appears on several of\u00a0Bob Dylan<\/a>\u2019s classic Nashville records.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The Killers\u2019\u00a0frontman\u00a0spoke to\u00a0NME\u00a0about plans for a new solo album last year<\/a>, when at the 2025 Ivor Novellos and presented with the Special International Award by\u00a0Bruce Springsteen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI made two South West\u00a0records, if\u00a0you want to know the truth. One is a romantic\u00a0South West\u00a0record, and the other is a narrative\u00a0South West\u00a0record which picks up where [The Killers\u2019 2021 album] \u2018Pressure Machine\u2019 left off,\u201d he shared, before adding that Springsteen was a source of inspiration.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe gave me the permission to write about things that I actually know about and experiences that I\u2019ve actually witnessed, that I\u2019ve lived,\u201d Flowers added. \u201cThere\u2019s something powerful about that. When people hear it, it doesn\u2019t matter where they are, they get it and they pick up the heart and the soul from it. Those are the things that I\u2019m able to tap into.\u201d<\/p>\n

Flowers added: \u201cI\u2019m thrilled about both of them, and they\u2019ll both come out before the next Killers record \u2013 but I\u2019m thrilled about the next Killers record.\u201d<\/p>\n
