{"id":656979,"date":"2026-06-25T05:29:11","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T05:29:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/656979\/"},"modified":"2026-06-25T05:29:11","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T05:29:11","slug":"joey-evison-leicestershire-extend-all-rounders-loan-for-t20-blast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/656979\/","title":{"rendered":"Joey Evison: Leicestershire extend all-rounders loan for T20 Blast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Leicestershire have extended the loan of Kent all-rounder Joey Evison until the end of the T20 Blast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 24-year-old moved to Grace Road on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sport\/cricket\/articles\/ckg0xwjw2k0o\" class=\"ssrcss-1fqyhkk-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">short-term deal earlier this month<\/a> and has taken three wickets and scored 55 against Yorkshire since then.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He will remain with the squad when they resume the Blast campaign on Friday with a home match against Lancashire Lightning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The Foxes are third in North Group with three wins from six games so far, but level on points with Notts, who are second.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;The extension means Evison will remain available for the remainder of the Blast as Leicestershire continue their push for a place in the knockout stages,&#8221; said a club statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He has scored 339 runs and taken 21 wickets in 35 T20 matches so far in his career.   <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Leicestershire have extended the loan of Kent all-rounder Joey Evison until the end of the T20 Blast.
