McCrorie moved to Ashton Gate in the summer of 2023 for a reported \u00a32m fee and made 89 appearances for City – 41 of those last season.<\/p>\n
In May, the Championship side took up the option to extend his terms by a year.<\/p>\n
Capped twice for Scotland and included in the squad for Euro 2024, McCrorie played regularly at right-back for City but can operate across the defence and has been used as a midfielder, his predominant position in his first Rangers spell.<\/p>\n
And McCrorie has been given the number two jersey vacated by long-serving captain James Tavernier, who has moved on after 11 years at the club.<\/p>\n
“Ross is someone I signed for Aberdeen from Rangers, and at that time he wanted to go out and prove himself, which I think says a lot for him,” said McInnes, who joined from Hearts last week, of his first Rangers signing.<\/p>\n
“He has developed and improved as a player, he has got that added experience, he is a full international now and he knows the club inside out.<\/p>\n
“In the conversations I have had with him, a lot of things I am saying are things he wants from the club as well, so he’s a determined and competitive boy on the pitch, and he is determined to bring good times back to the club.”<\/p>\n
