Wakefield Trinity boss Daryl Powell has confirmed that they are interested in St Helens star Harry Robertson, and rumours that a bid being rejected are true.<\/p>\n

Reports emerged last week that Trinity were interested in the Englishman, and that the West Yorkshire outfit had sent Saints a six-figure transfer fee.<\/p>\n

That bid was rejected, with Saints hoping to keep one of their biggest prospects tied down for the long-term.<\/p>\n

Powell said that the club are \u201ckeen\u201d on the youngster, with the outside backs a particular part of the field that Wakefield want to strengthen.<\/p>\n

The club have already signed Roger Tuivasa-Sheck for the 2027 season, with the expectation that he will play full-back.<\/p>\n

Cameron Scott leaving to join Bradford Bulls means a centre spot opens up, and the club were hoping that the Saints wonderkid could be the man to fill that gap.<\/p>\n

Asked in his weekly press conference whether the rumours were true, Powell said: \u201cThere\u2019s nothing to clear up, that\u2019s true that.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was a player that we were interested in \u2013 who wouldn\u2019t be? We made an offer, and Saints declined it. That\u2019s up to them, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

\u201cWe really like him, we think he\u2019s a high-quality player\u2026 We\u2019re keen on Harry, but we\u2019ll see what happens.\u201d<\/p>\n
