Sainsbury’s shoppers are snapping up a striking Habitat floor lamp after it landed in the retailer’s clearance sale for a fraction of its original price. The Habitat Achille Japonica Floor Lamp has caught the attention of homeware fans and is now priced at £60 down from £79.99.

Inspired by Japanese interiors, the Habitat Achille Japonica Floor Lamp blends natural bamboo with elegant curved lines to create a statement piece that looks just as impressive switched off as it does illuminated. The woven bamboo frame surrounds a white linen inner shade, producing a warm, soft glow that’s ideal for creating a relaxed atmosphere in living rooms, bedrooms or reading corners.

Standing 120cm tall, the Habitat Achille Japonica Floor Lamp is designed to become a focal point while still fitting neatly into smaller spaces. The bamboo struts create a striking silhouette, while the neutral finish works beautifully with minimalist, Scandi and Japandi-inspired décor.

Over on Habitat, the Habitat Achille Japonica Floor Lamp has been rated highly. One person said: “Looks great in my living room!

“Really draws your attention to it- it looks like a centrepiece even when not on. Gives a lovely gentle but bright light, and adds a lovely ambience to the room.”

Another added: “I’m so happy with it , it’s different and looks more beautiful when lit.” A third person wrote: “Love my new lamp.

“It’s unique, fits my living room perfectly both in terms of size and style.” Another added: “Beautifully made lamp that compliments many surroundings.

“Lovely soft lighting that has a timeless design.” Some removed a star, for example this person said: “A stylish floor lamp, used a warm white bulb and it gives off a nice calming glow.

“The only criticism was there was no instructions even though it said there was in the box so we had to insert the bulbs through the top and hope that this was correct.” Another added: “We bought this lamp recently, it looked good, but not so well made.

“I.e. The wood frame on the top was poorly finished, the wood lattes had split after bending during manufacture and was too obvious a problem to ignore. We changed to another lamp which ticked all the boxes.”
