{"id":660049,"date":"2026-06-26T21:37:14","date_gmt":"2026-06-26T21:37:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/660049\/"},"modified":"2026-06-26T21:37:14","modified_gmt":"2026-06-26T21:37:14","slug":"yani-tseng-holes-out-from-the-water-at-2026-kpmg-womens-pga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/660049\/","title":{"rendered":"Yani Tseng holes out from the water at 2026 KPMG Women&#8217;s PGA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>June 25, 2026, 7:45 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">CHASKA, Minn. \u2014 Yani Tseng hit the most memorable shot of the day at Hazeltine, even though Amanda Doherty made an ace.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The 37-year-old five-time major winner took her shoes off on the seventh hole to wade into ankle-deep water to hit her third shot from the rough at the <a href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/golf\/lpga\/womens-pga-championship\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\">2026 KPMG Women&#8217;s PGA Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">&#8220;She&#8217;s going to need to swing hard on this one,&#8221; noted Paige Mackenzie as Tseng gripped down to the metal on her club.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Seconds later, Tseng ball was banging off the flagstick and into the hole.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"gnt_em_ig_bl\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DaBJxdpRpSG\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" aria-label=\"view Instagram post: \"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Tseng, who won this championship in 2008 and 2011, made birdie on the hole and shot 73 in the opening round to take a share of 69th.
