\n The GP practice, which looks after 5,900 patients, was assessed across five key areas: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led.\n<\/p>\n
\n The CQC\u2019s \u2018Good\u2019 rating reflects improvements made since Blossom Health took over the former Bury Road Surgery in July 2023.\n<\/p>\n
\n Before this, the practice had been rated as inadequate.\n<\/p>\n
\n The inspection report praised the practice\u2019s commitment to person-centred care.\n<\/p>\n
\n Inspectors found that patients are involved in their own assessments and decisions, and that staff consider each patient\u2019s communication, personal and health needs.\n<\/p>\n
\n The report also noted that staff treat patients with dignity and as individuals.\n<\/p>\n
\n Blossom Health Gosport serves a population with a higher-than-average number of patients aged over 60.\n<\/p>\n
\n The CQC found that the practice understands the needs of its local population and delivers care accordingly.\n<\/p>\n
\n The report also highlighted that the practice is accessible, inclusive, and focused on delivering fair and equal treatment for all.\n<\/p>\n
\n Feedback from patients is encouraged and acted upon.\n<\/p>\n
\n The CQC found that the practice has strong systems in place to support both patient care and staff wellbeing.\n<\/p>\n
\n Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage welcomed the news.\n<\/p>\n
\n Ms Dinenage said: “It\u2019s incredibly important to me that everyone in Gosport has access to safe, high-quality healthcare, so I\u2019m really pleased to see Blossom Health GP surgery awarded a \u2018Good\u2019 rating by the CQC.\n<\/p>\n
\n “I\u2019d like to commend the entire team at Blossom Health for their hard work and commitment in turning the service around since taking it over.\n<\/p>\n
\n “This is a positive step forward for local patients and the wider community.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Practice Manager Sally Conway also commented on the result.\n<\/p>\n
\n Sally said: “I am delighted with the outcome of our latest inspection and proud of the recognition received from the CQC.\n<\/p>\n
