If you\u2019d offered us this position at the start of the season, we\u2019d have taken it without a doubt. After losing the first game and then bouncing back with five on the spin, it\u2019s put us in a good position.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cGoing into the second half, we might need slightly fewer wins than we did at the start to make sure we reach the quarter-finals, but we\u2019re still focused on winning every game.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  That strong start has given Hampshire what Vince describes as a valuable \u201cbuffer\u201d, but the skipper is under no illusions about the challenges still to come in a competition where momentum can quickly shift.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cMomentum is everything in T20 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailyecho.co.uk\/sport\/cricket\/?ref=au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">cricket<\/a>,\u201d\u00a0he added. \u201cYou can win a few on the spin, as we did, but if you get on the wrong side of a couple of results, it can quickly go against you.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cWe know we\u2019ve got to be on it straight away and make sure we keep pushing to secure that quarter-final place.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Hawks\u2019 success so far has been built on contributions throughout the squad, with Vince highlighting a number of key performers who have helped lay the foundation for their campaign.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Vince said: \u201cRussell Domingo has come in as coach and made a real impact, and Hilton Cartwright has been brilliant.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;The way he\u2019s come in and taken games on, he\u2019s played some vital roles for us.
