Britain’s respite from sweltering heatwave conditions will be short-lived, with temperatures<\/a> set to surge back up to 29C in early July, according to newly released weather maps.<\/p>\n

The country has been enduring record-breaking June heat of nearly 40C<\/a>, with conditions expected to ease from Sunday. However, the relief from temperatures that have forced school closures and disrupted public transport will prove only temporary, according to forecasts from WXCharts.<\/p>\n

The week spanning June 29 to July 5 will see temperatures gradually climbing, averaging around 24C across parts of south and central England, according to the online forecaster’s maps. By the evening of July 8, the mercury will once again reach heatwave levels, with highs of 29C in the southwest.<\/p>\n

Mid-July forecasts indicate temperatures holding firm at approximately 30C, suggesting another prolonged spell of hot and humid weather that could cause further disruption to public services.<\/p>\n

Such conditions could also prompt the Met Office to issue another rare red weather warning, signalling a risk to life even amongst otherwise healthy individuals, reports the Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The warning was previously issued between Wednesday, June 24, and Friday, June 26, as successive days shattered the record for the highest temperature ever recorded in June.<\/p>\n

The Met Office’s long-range forecast similarly points to a brief temperature dip as June gives way to July, before high pressure patterns bring “a greater chance of settled and drier than average conditions” throughout next month. Although southern England is set to bear the brunt of rising temperatures in July, northern regions of the UK can also expect a dip into the low teens over the coming week before climbing back to around 20C.<\/p>\n

Predictions for the middle to latter part of July also caution of potentially “changeable or unsettled conditions” with a likelihood of “heavy and thundery showers”.<\/p>\n
