Thunderstorms are set to hit, according to the Met Office<\/p>\n
The Met Office has issued several new yellow thunderstorm warnings for parts of the UK tonight.<\/p>\n
Developing thunderstorms may cause impacts in a few places this evening, including frequent lightning, hail, and brief heavy downpours, the Met Office<\/a> has said.<\/p>\n Weather<\/a> warnings for storms, include areas across London and the Southeast of England and the East of England (see below for a full list).<\/p>\n The Met Office also said some short term loss of power and other services is possible, alongside some damage to a few buildings and structures from lightning strikes is possible, large hail and strong gusty winds could also damage temporary or vulnerable structures.<\/p>\n Thunderstorms are set to hit large parts of the UK(Image: Met Office)<\/p>\n A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Today’s heat and humidity has resulted in the development of some thunderstorms, which will move rapidly northeastwards across central and eastern parts of England this evening.<\/p>\n “Most places will not be impacted, but where they occur brief periods of frequent lightning, strong gusty winds, large hail and heavy rain are possible.
