Introduce a Captain\u2019s Challenge<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cricket, tennis and rugby league have all shown that giving players a limited opportunity to challenge decisions can add drama without disrupting the flow of the game.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rugby already relies heavily on technology, so why not let captains have a say?<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our proposal:<\/p>\n<p>Each team gets one Captain\u2019s Challenge per match.<\/p>\n<p>If the challenge is successful, they keep it.<\/p>\n<p>If it\u2019s unsuccessful, they lose it.<\/p>\n<p>Challenges can only be made by the captain and only for clear, reviewable incidents such as knock-ons, touch decisions or foul play.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It would give teams confidence that obvious mistakes can be corrected while cutting down on constant unsolicited TMO interventions.<\/p>\n<p>Poll<\/p>\n<p>Quiz: Name these 10 retro rugby players<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From jaw-dropping tries to unforgettable moments (and yes, some questionable haircuts), these players defined a golden era of the game.
