\n A force spokesman said: “We responded to a report that a man was threatening members of the public with a knife in Sillwood Road, Brighton, on Saturday evening.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Two members of the public were assaulted during the incident, which was reported just before 6pm.\n<\/p>\n
\n “One of the men assaulted was treated in hospital and released, for serious but non-life threatening injuries.\n<\/p>\n
\n “The man with the knife, who lives locally, was swiftly tackled to the ground by members of the public and a knife was seized.\n<\/p>\n
\n “A 33-year-old local man has been arrested for assault occasioning grievous bodily harm with intent and he is in custody.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Detective Inspector Jen Pietersen added: “This was a distressing incident for those in the vicinity.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Neighbourhood policing officers will be providing visible patrols in the area and if anyone has any concerns they should speak with them.”\n<\/p>\n

\n He was reportedly tackled to the ground by members of the public.\n<\/p>\n
\n A knife was seized.\n<\/p>\n
