Eligibility for the benefit is not dependent on a recipient\u2019s work record. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">In July, SSI payments &#8211; which average $738.13 per month &#8211; are scheduled to go out <a href=\"https:\/\/en.as.com\/latest_news\/the-social-security-administration-is-making-payments-on-wednesday-july-1-who-benefits-f202606-n\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/en.as.com\/latest_news\/the-social-security-administration-is-making-payments-on-wednesday-july-1-who-benefits-f202606-n\/\">on Wednesday 1<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Why the early payment?<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The above groups of long-term and dual beneficiaries normally get their Social Security payments on the third day of each month. However, distribution has been brought forward because July 3 is a federal holiday, as part of the U.S.\u2019s Independence Day celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>How much are monthly Social Security benefits?Retirement: $2,038.00Disability: $1,493.25Survivor: $1,626.59<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Average benefit, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.gov\/policy\/docs\/quickfacts\/stat_snapshot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.gov\/policy\/docs\/quickfacts\/stat_snapshot\/\">figures published by the SSA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>When are other Social Security beneficiaries paid in July 2026?<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Of the U.S.\u2019s 71.2 million recipients of Social Security benefits, many will be paid on the second, third or fourth Wednesday in July, depending on their birthday:<\/p>\n<p>Born on 1st-10th of any month: Wednesday, July 8Born on 11th-20th of any month: Wednesday, July 15Born on 21st-31st of any month: Wednesday, July 22<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">NB: If you claim Social Security payments based on someone else\u2019s employment history, the SSA uses the other person\u2019s date of birth.<\/p>\n<p>How does the Social Security Admin pay monthly benefits?<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Social Security beneficiaries can update their banking information using the online \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fFmSHpg-ib4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fFmSHpg-ib4\">my Social Security<\/a>\u201d tool.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Money can be loaded onto the Direct Express Card, a special <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.gov\/faqs\/en\/questions\/KA-02429.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.gov\/faqs\/en\/questions\/KA-02429.html\">debit card<\/a> for receiving federal disbursements.
