{"id":663802,"date":"2026-06-29T05:02:20","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T05:02:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/663802\/"},"modified":"2026-06-29T05:02:20","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T05:02:20","slug":"emmerdale-and-coronation-street-schedule-changes-next-week-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/663802\/","title":{"rendered":"Emmerdale and Coronation Street schedule changes next week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  The popular soaps are often moved, extended, or axed from the ITV schedule due to sports or major events.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The 2026 FIFA World Cup has wreaked havoc with soap schedules in recent weeks.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Viewers can expect more disruptions to Emmerdale and Coronation Street schedules next week due to the World Cup.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Here\u2019s what the changes are and which episodes will be affected.\n<\/p>\n<p>  All the Emmerdale and Coronation Street schedule changes next week<\/p>\n<p>\n  Emmerdale and Coronation Street usually air on ITV1 at 8pm and 8.30pm, Monday to Friday, in what is known as the \u201csoaps power hour\u201d (introduced in January 2026).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The hit soaps have been removed from the ITV schedule on Monday (June 29) due to the World Cup.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n    We&#8217;re not on tonight, but we will see you next week!<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, maybe try out &#8220;George-y&#8217;s&#8221; idea of relaxation \ud83d\ude02<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/hashtag\/Corrie?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">#Corrie<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/RmPGmZhFkA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/RmPGmZhFkA<\/a>\n  <\/p>\n<p>\n    \u2014 Coronation Street (@itvcorrie) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/itvcorrie\/status\/2070537573735293059?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">June 26, 2026<\/a>\n  <\/p>\n<p>\n  On Tuesday (June 30), both Emmerdale and Coronation Street will air for an hour.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Emmerdale will run from 7.45pm, while Coronation Street will start at 8.45pm.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Wednesday (July 1) will see the return of half-hour episodes, but they will air slightly earlier due to the World Cup at 8.15pm.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Emmerdale will air at 7.15pm, with Coronation Street to follow at 7.45pm.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Thursday (July 2) and Friday (July 3) will once again see both soaps removed from the ITV schedule.\n<\/p>\n<p>  Emmerdale star spotted on set ahead of return<\/p>\n<p>\n  Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northwaleschronicle.co.uk\/news\/national\/uk-today\/26232362.patsy-kensit-seen-emmerdale-co-stars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Patsy Kensit has been spotted on the set<\/a> of Emmerdale ahead of her return to the hit ITV soap later this year.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Kensit played Sadie King on Emmerdale from 2004 to 2006, before making a dramatic exit from the show.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  She is now set to return to the Dales after 20 years, reprising her role as Sadie.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>It has not yet been revealed when Sadie King will be returning to the Emmerdale. I treasure the years I was here before.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cSadie King is a character that I really loved playing.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cThe cast and crew are absolutely brilliant and I am so grateful for the chance to return to the show, it\u2019s absolutely amazing.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The exact date for Sadie King&#8217;s return has yet to be confirmed.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  While Kensit has not started filming for the show yet, it has been revealed that she has already done some photoshoots with the cast.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  How do you feel about all these schedule changes on ITV caused by the World Cup?
