We know\u00a0Cyberpunk: Edgerunners<\/a> is coming back\u2014and now we know who our next batch of dead meat<\/a> criminals will be.<\/p>\n

Before and during the weekend, CD Projekt Red and Netflix pulled back the curtain on the upcoming anime. Things started on Thursday, June 25 with Weak Kingsley<\/a>, a longtime Edgerunner once \u201cat the top of his game\u201d and now \u201cliving in the shadow of his former glory.\u201d On Friday, June 26, we got D<\/a>, a Netrunner for the Snake Nation nomad group that once owned the Bakkers (V\u2019s family if you choose the Nomad path in\u00a0Cyberpunk 2077). Where King\u2019s washed up, D is a young man looking for the killer that took out his clan.<\/p>\n

Saturday, June 27 brought us Roman Carax<\/a>, a young cinephile documenting what\u2019s going on in Night City. (Interestingly,\u00a0Edgerunners writer Bartosz Sztybor<\/a> described him as a \u201clove letter to cinema,\u201d and later confirmed<\/a> he was inspired by Rocket, the main character from the 2002 film City of God.) And finally, we got Talia Yang on Sunday, June 28, a woman from the Corpo side of life \u201c[whose] heart belongs to chrome and violence.\u201d There\u2019s other silhouettes in the character art below, but this appears to be the show\u2019s main leads.<\/p>\n

At time of writing, we don\u2019t know who\u2019s voicing these characters or what\u2019s bringing them together\u2014that\u2019s what the trailer\u2019s for. But the\u00a0fandom\u2019s just glad to have more info on the sequel series and figuring out who\u2019ll bite it. We\u2019ll find out who\u2019s done for when Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II hits Netflix this fall.<\/p>\n
