Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a reported plane crash, with a large cordon surrounding a field. First responders have been scrambled to the incident in the village of High Ongar in Essex.<\/p>\n
The incident reportedly occured at 1.30pm on June 30, Tuesday as police, ambulance and fire service rushed to the scene. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has confirmed a crew of responders have been deployed to the accident site. A statement from the organisation said: “An accident in Ongar, Essex involving a light aircraft which occurred today (30 June) has been notified to the Air Accidents Investigation Branch. An investigation has been launched and a team of inspectors are on their way to the accident site.”<\/p>\n
High Ongar is a small village located about one mile to the north-east of Chipping Ongar and roughly eight miles to the west of Chelmsford. It lies close to the A414, a main road that provides a direct link between Chelmsford and Harlow.<\/p>\n
