RANGERS can today announce the signing of goalkeeper Ivor Pandur on a four-year deal from Hull City, subject to international clearance.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Pandur, who is currently with Croatia at the World Cup, played a key role for the Tigers last season as they gained promotion to the English Premier League.<\/p>\n
Starting his career in Croatia at his hometown club HNK Rijeka, Pandur made his senior breakthrough in the 2019\/20 season keeping 10 clean sheets in 21 appearances. <\/p>\n
The following season, he made the switch to Serie A side Hellas Verona in August 2020 where he spent two years before joining Fortuna Sittard in the Dutch top flight.<\/p>\n
It was there he really found his feet as a number one, making 31 appearances in his first season. <\/p>\n
Pandur joined Hull City in January 2024, and since then has made a big impact in England. <\/p>\n
Last season he was crucial in Hull\u2019s promotion to the English Premier League, keeping back-to-back clean sheets against Millwall in the play-off semi-finals, before another clean sheet in a 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough in the final.<\/p>\n
On signing for Rangers, Pandur said: \u201cI am honoured and privileged to sign for such a big club with so much history. This club knows how to win and that’s exactly why I am joining Rangers.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can\u2019t wait to hear the noise of Ibrox for the first time, and I hope we will be successful together.\u201d<\/p>\n
Manager Derek McInnes commented: \u201cWe are delighted to bring Ivor to Rangers. He is a goalkeeper with excellent presence and a strong character.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe has shown his quality, he is at a good stage of his career, and we believe he can be a commanding figure for the club. <\/p>\n
