\n The show blends spoken word and live music to explore the life and work of the Gloucestershire-born poet and author.\n<\/p>\n
\n Lesser – who is known for roles in Game of Thrones and Andor – was recently\u00a0cast as Garrick Ollivander in the new HBO Harry Potter series\n<\/p>\n
\n Blending spoken word with live music, the production follows Lee’s remarkable journey from his Gloucestershire childhood to his experiences during the Spanish Civil War.\n<\/p>\n
\n Highlighting Lee\u2019s engaging humour, as well as his darker side, in a performance that has startling resonance with modern events, on the eve of this 90th anniversary of the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War.\n<\/p>\n
\n Mr Lesser will be joined by actor Charlie Hamblett and the Orchestra of the Swan, with a score featuring Britten, Holst, Elgar, Turina, Alb\u00e9niz, and Falla.\n<\/p>\n
\n Spanish guitarist Mark Ashford will also perform.\n<\/p>\n
\n The performance is among this year’s festival highlights and promises an evening of powerful storytelling.\n<\/p>\n
