Got some space on your shelf that needs filling? It seems you may be in luck later this year, as there’s a cool PS1-themed display coming soon.<\/p>\n

Toy company Console Heroes specialises in dioramas and playsets based on iconic retro systems and games. These have mostly been geared around SEGA thus far, but PS1 is getting some love in a new wave of products<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The main attraction is this:<\/p>\n

A Console Heroes PlayStation Diorama was unveiled earlier this year at the New York Toy Fair. The diorama features figures of four first-party PlayStation characters, including MediEvil’s Sir Dan. It’s a cool display featuring figurines based on PS1 titles like MediEvil<\/a>, Twisted Metal<\/a>, Syphon Filter<\/a>, and Cool Boarders<\/a>, all contained within a PS1 shaped shell.<\/p>\n

It even comes inside a box that resembles the original PlayStation’s packaging, which is a great touch.<\/p>\n

There’s no word on a release date or price point just yet, but the SEGA Mega Drive equivalent retails for around \u00a340\/$40, so I’d expect this to be around the same.<\/p>\n

A lot of PlayStation merchandise focuses on newer games and systems, so it’s nice to see the PS1, and some of its real fan favourite franchises, celebrated here.<\/p>\n
