\n William Sitwell reopened the White Hart in Wiveliscombe<\/a> in December of last year, and since then the restaurant has made headlines for the high-quality food and the ‘Sitwell Special’ drink, which promises to be ‘bitter like the locals’.\n<\/p>\n

\n He has since been charting his new life as a food critic, running a pub-restaurant in The Telegraph and on his YouTube channel.\n<\/p>\n

\n In a new update published by The Telegraph<\/a>, Mr Sitwell said that after a lady in pink was not served her choice dessert, zabaglione with tuile, on the night of June 11, she started ‘vigorously fist-shaking’ at a new member of staff.\n<\/p>\n

\n Mr Sitwell said despite offering to remove the cost of the pudding from their bill and offering to bring them a free round of coffee and cheese on him, the woman was still not satisfied.\n<\/p>\n

\n He said when he later checked in on her as she was leaving the establishment, she began ‘barking about poor service’ and brought his new staff member ‘close to tears.’\n<\/p>\n

\n When, at the end of her complaining, she said ‘the customer is always right,’ Mr Sitwell said he stepped in and said: “The customer is not always right and you are an example of that.\n<\/p>\n

\n “You\u2019re wrong, you\u2019re rude, you\u2019re bullying my staff, and I never want to see you in this restaurant again.”\n<\/p>\n

\n This marks the first customer Mr Sitwell has ever had to ban from the White Hart, and he said it follows advice from Jeremy King, who told him not to tolerate guests who bully staff.\n<\/p>\n

\n When approached for comment by the County Gazette, Mr Sitwell said: “Some people get their kicks from going out and hoping for a bad time.\n<\/p>\n
