Nick Kyrgios admits he has probably played his last point at Wimbledon after losing on his SW19 comeback last night.<\/p>\n
The Australian stopped short of announcing his retirement but said it was heartbreaking not to be able to produce his best tennis for his fans.<\/p>\n
Kyrgios and doubles partner Alexander Bublik lost 6-3, 6-4 to Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic yesterday.<\/p>\n
“I’d probably say pretty confidently [this was] my last Wimbledon,” Kyrgios said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Towards the end, just looking around and taking everything in, it was tough.<\/p>\n
“I just feel body-wise and everything, it’d be hard to see myself coming back here again and competing.”<\/p>\n
Kyrgios isn\u2019t ready to fully retire just yet but didn\u2019t feel his body is up to the challenges of Grand Slam singles tennis.<\/p>\n
“What’s the point at that point?” he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“You go from making finals of Grand Slams to struggling to play multiple singles matches, so who knows?”<\/p>\n
He added: “I don’t know how much I have left to deal with everything every time I play.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“It’s too much. I can tell the fans want more but it’s heartbreaking to not be able to give it to them every single time.\u00a0<\/p>\n
