A man was stabbed in a Birmingham road and had to be taken to hospital.<\/p>\n

The incident took place in Glebe Farm Road, Stechford<\/a> on Friday (July 3) afternoon.<\/p>\n

Police and ambulances rushed to the scene.<\/p>\n

An eyewitness reported a man being \u2018stabbed in the leg\u2019 and then \u2018banging his head\u2019.<\/p>\n

It took place shortly before 4.30pm. The victim is said to be in his 40s.<\/p>\n

An area was cordoned off by police near the Lifestyle Express shop.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police<\/a> said: \u201cWe’re investigating after a man was found with stab injuries in Glebe Farm Road, Stechford, at just before 4.30pm today (Friday, July 3). \u201cThe man in his 40s has been taken to hospital, although his injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening. \u201cWe’re in the early stages of our enquiries and anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat on our website, or by calling 101, and quote log 4107 of 3\/7\/26.\u201d<\/p>\n
