For a 4mg dose, new customers can pay \u00a399, or \u00a3119 for existing patients.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\">Dr Clair Grainger, GP at Superdrug Online Doctor, said: \u201cFollowing regulatory approval, we\u2019ve seen strong interest in our information register.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\">\u201cWith prescribing now underway, people can now complete their consultation and access treatment if clinically appropriate, whether that\u2019s online, in pharmacy, or in clinic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\">\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lbc.co.uk\/opinion\/views\/weight-loss-pills-treat-obesity-opinion\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Obesity is a complex medical issue<\/a>, and any treatment will only be prescribed following a thorough clinical assessment against eligibility criteria.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\">The two highest doses \u2013 9mg and 25mg \u2013 will be priced at \u00a3149 and \u00a3209 for new patients and will be \u201ccoming soon\u201d. Existing patients can expect to pay \u00a3169 and \u00a3229, Superdrug says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\">To obtain the two lowest doses of the tablet, patients can currently only access the pills online, but some Superdrug stores will launch these later.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lbc.co.uk\/news\/health\/wegovy-pill-approved\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The use of the Wegovy pill was only approved on June 11<\/a>, and the news of this prompted thousands of hopeful patients to join pharmacy waiting lists across the UK.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Existing patients can expect to pay \u00a399 for the same dose.
