Ravi Gulati<\/a>\u00a0(Aaron Thiara<\/a>) is as complex as a character comes in EastEnders<\/a>.<\/p>\n See, he\u2019s capable of great love. He\u2019d move Heaven and Earth for his partner Priya Nandra-Hart<\/a>\u00a0(Sophie Khan Levy<\/a>), and children Avani and Nugget (Aaliyah James and Juhaim Rasul Choudhury), utterly determined to provide them with the best life possible, while protecting them from anything that might see them hurt.<\/p>\n His methods, though, often see him unintentionally causing mass carnage in the pursuit of a noble objective.<\/p>\n When the Panesar fortune was stolen, Ravi couldn\u2019t bear the thought of disappointing his daughter by cancelling her sweet 16th, and so he approached the ever-dangerous Nicola Mitchell\u00a0(Laura Doddington) for a contact within the drug trade to make some quick cash.<\/p>\n What ultimately unfurled was a sprawling, predatory narcotic enterprise that left a trail of destruction in its wake, with a vulnerable Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) cuckoo\u2019d<\/a>, Harry Mitchell\u00a0(Elijah Holloway) locked up and tortured, leaving him with an all-consuming addiction, the gruesome death of Tobias \u2018Okie\u2019 Okyere (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu)<\/a> and, ultimately, Ravi having to turn informant<\/a> to escape prison.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t\t\t\tAsk Metro<\/p>\n Use AI to go deeper into the stories you care about \u2013 powered by Metro and trusted publications.<\/p>\n Nicola and Harry were unwilling to let Ravi get off with his various crimes, and enacted a vicious revenge plan that saw him drugged<\/a>, his hallucinations of evil dad Nish Panesar<\/a>\u00a0(Navin Chowdhry<\/a>) causing him to savagely beat Nugget, resulting in his son being diagnosed with epilepsy<\/a>.<\/p>\n From there, Ravi\u2019s already fragile mental health began to unravel at a terrifying pace.<\/p>\n \u2018It\u2019s been a privilege to be trusted with something that holds a great responsibility to tell the story in a way that needs to be fully committed,\u2019 Aaron explained while supporting Mind and the Ricky Hatton Foundation at the Brunswick Art Gallery for Men\u2019s Mental Health Week.<\/p>\n \u2018I was aware heading into the story that I need to give myself to it in order to do it justice and tell someone\u2019s story.<\/p>\n \u2018Look, pressure is a privilege, right? So is hard work. So I loved every bit of it.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\tIs there a future for Ravi and Priya?<\/p>\n Of course, they’re meant to be!Check<\/p>\n Nope, they’re dead in the water!Check<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\tAll the latest soaps spoilers and gossip, in your inbox every morning.<\/p>\n \t\t Despite Priya\u2019s best attempts to access psychiatric help for him, things reached a terrifying climax that saw Ravi consider taking his own life<\/a>, resulting in his sectioning<\/a> and a diagnosis of complex-PTSD.<\/p>\n While he made an incredibly brief return<\/a> to explain to Priya that he\u2019d been released from the mental health facility and intended to continue his healing journey alone, Ravi has been absent ever since<\/a>.<\/p>\n In his absence, Priya has embarked on a dangerous affair with the King of dangerous affairs himself: Max Branning\u00a0(Jake Wood)<\/a>, but can Aaron ever see Ravi and Priya fixing things and getting back together?<\/p>\n \u2018That seems to be what the fans want, so yeah, maybe something along those lines,\u2019 he teased.<\/p>\n \t\t On his approach to the storylines bestowed upon his character, Aaron admitted: \u2018I\u2019m open to anything.\u2019<\/p>\n \u2018I think what it does so well and with the actors and the characters within it is we go through all these nose dives into this story and pull out and we go to another story. <\/p>\n \u2018So as an actor, you have to just be ready to be pulled in any direction.<\/p>\n \u2018To be honest, I\u2019ve been very fortunate to play such an array of different stories and different tones and colours and emotions.
