What started as a playful Pitbull fan tribute has gone global, with thousands of fans now turning up to Mr Worldwide gigs dressed in bald caps, drawn on facial hair and sharp suits to mimic the rapper’s signature look. And Glasgow’s Pitbull <\/a>devotees did the trend justice on Wednesday night (July 1) as the rapper performed at Bellahouston Park.<\/p>\n

The sight of entire crowds dressed as the Miami artist has become a stand out feature of his live shows across the UK, where the trend has taken on a life of its own, the Daily Record reports.<\/a><\/p>\n

But while the movement is now firmly associated with Pitbull’s concerts, one fan believes she played a key role in helping the trend take off. Social media<\/a> influencer Milli Jo McLoughlin, from Liverpool, has claimed to be among the first to help spark the viral bald cap look that now dominates his concerts.<\/p>\n

The 22 year-old previously spoke to The Independent<\/a> about a video she posted in 2023 showing herself dancing to Pitbull\u2019s hit track Fireball while wearing a tuxedo and a drawn on beard. Since then she has continued to dress up as the artist, posting multiple videos on her TikTok account.<\/p>\n

She said the moment took an unexpected turn when the rapper himself reshared the clip on his social media accounts, believing that she was the reason behind the trend becoming so popular.<\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t believe it. I was screaming,\u201d Milli said. \u201cHe\u2019s my go-to party music. So when I saw him repost, I\u2019m still in shock now. It\u2019s going on my CV.\u201d<\/p>\n

The influencer believes that early viral moment helped push the trend further into mainstream fan culture, with more attendees now fully embracing it and by dressing up as Pitbull at live shows across the UK.<\/p>\n

However, Pitbull himself believes the trend began to emerge around 2021 following the return to live music after the pandemic. Speaking in a BBC <\/a>interview from 2025, he explained: “I want to say that started around 2021 when the world came out of the shutdown.<\/p>\n

“That was the tour called I Feel Good and you started to see it. I want to say maybe out of 20,000 people coming to the show or 30,000 people, you\u2019ll see a thousand, you know.\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer added that the trend escalated further when he began touring in the UK, as he continued: “But then when we came over, we jumped the pond and we ended up in London and it was just something else.<\/p>\n

“It was definitely a whole new movement, took it to a whole new level and it\u2019s flattering.”<\/p>\n

The rapper, whose real name is Armando Christian Perez, said he is touched by the fan culture that has developed around his image. “It touches my heart because who would have known, you know someone from Miami and all the things that I\u2019ve been through in life.<\/p>\n

“And that\u2019s why I would say from a negative to a positive to have people out here feeling that good dressed up as me. Man, unbelievable,” Pitbull said.<\/p>\n
