Taylor Swift<\/a> and Travis Kelce<\/a> tied the knot in New York City Friday evening<\/a> in a ceremony officiated by… Adam Sandler<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Yes, really. The news was confirmed by Swift\u2019s representatives, who told The Independent in a statement<\/a>: \u201cTaylor & Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor\u2019s Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis\u2019 Best Man. The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler.\u201d<\/p>\n

For those curious about the comedy star\u2019s integral role in the ceremony, Kelce met Sandler after the actor cast him in his 2025 film, Happy Gilmore 2<\/a>, in which the Kansas City Chiefs star made a brief cameo.<\/p>\n

\u201cMan, this life is crazy!! Still so surreal I got this opportunity,\u201d Kelce wrote on social media at the time, under a photo of himself with Sandler on set.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Sandler has known Swift for years through his two daughters, Sunny and Sadie, who are longtime fans of the \u201cLover\u201d singer.<\/p>\n

Sandler spoke about Swift and Kelce last year, describing Swift in an interview with Entertainment Tonight as \u201cincredible\u201d and praising her kindness to his family.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy kids have met Taylor a bunch of times over the years, and she\u2019s ridiculously nice to them and warm,\u201d said Sandler. The actor called Kelce \u201csuch a gentle, nice guy, and funny as hell.\u201d<\/p>\n

Appearing on Kelce\u2019s New Heights podcast last year, Sandler told the host that Swift \u201cmeans so much to our house\u201d and championed their relationship: \u201cWhen you guys first started dating, my family was like, \u2018Yes. Look how good they are together. He\u2019s a gentleman and she\u2019s having so much fun.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

After the pair were announced husband and wife on Friday, jumbotrons outside the arena shared the news with crowds of fans: “JUST&T MARRIED!”<\/p>\n

A who\u2019s-who of A-list stars <\/a>were spotted arriving across New York City<\/a> for the celebration, including Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn, Dakota Johnson, Zo\u00eb Kravitz, Hugh Grant, Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner, Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann, Ethan Hawke, Jason Sudeikis, Jimmy Fallon, Tommy Hilfiger, the Haim sisters, Ellie Goulding, Benson Boone, Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, The Chicks, and Brad Paisley with Kimberly Williams-Paisley.<\/p>\n

However, one notable absence was Swift\u2019s former best friend, Blake Lively.<\/a><\/p>\n

Swift is godmother to Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds\u2019s children, and, up until last year, they were often photographed spending time together.<\/p>\n

Their friendship was put under strain, though, in 2025 when the pop star\u2019s name was dragged into Lively\u2019s highly publicized legal battle with Justin Baldoni. <\/a><\/p>\n

Amid legal proceedings in January, texts between Lively and Swift were unsealed <\/a>\u2013 among them two long notes from December 2024 that suggested their friendship dynamic had shifted.<\/p>\n

In May 2025, a representative for Swift told The Independent that her only connection to the film was that her song \u201cMy Tears Ricochet\u201d was used on the soundtrack and criticised Baldoni for subpoenaing the star in the ongoing legal battle.<\/a><\/p>\n

Baldoni\u2019s attempt to depose Swift in the case was rejected by a judge in September last year. He and Lively then settled their lawsuit in early May 2026.<\/p>\n

The Independent has contacted Lively\u2019s representatives for comment regarding her absence from the wedding.<\/p>\n
