Fans of Taylor Swift<\/a> have been shocked after it emerged that a contractor for the controversial Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) was in attendance at her wedding.<\/p>\n The Cruel Summer hitmaker, 36, celebrated her marriage to American footballer Travis Kelce<\/a>, also 36, this week.<\/p>\n The star-studded ceremony<\/a>, which took place at Madison Square Garden in New York<\/a>, was packed out with their celebrity pals, including Hugh Grant<\/a>, Bradley Cooper<\/a>, Graham Norton<\/a> and Cara Delevingne.<\/p>\n It appears that Steven J. Demetriou, the Executive Chair of a company called Amentum Services was also among the crowd gathered to see the happy couple say \u2018I do.\u2019<\/p>\n Amentum Services is currently the sole contractor for ICE\u2019s Camp East Montana, a detention centre in El Paso.<\/p>\n The artist has faced swift backlash for her choice of guests, including online commenters who have shared their dismay on social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t Sharing their thoughts on a Reddit<\/a> thread, commenters included Captain_Cupcake03, who described the wedding as \u2018absolutely grotesque and out of touch.\u2019<\/p>\n Wrote Relevant-Peach3997: \u2018Travis and Taylor are responsible for their guests. It\u2019s their wedding. They are both sh*t for inviting for many horrible people.\u2019<\/p>\n \u2018You are the company you keep,\u2019 said hellawhitegirl, while Round_Patience3029 asked: \u2018Taylor is a closet republican now?\u2019<\/p>\n Describing it as \u2018sickening,\u2019 breyness added: \u2018So you have a space with republicans and don\u2019t use it to speak out on their ways but to invite them to your wedding? Worst part, she\u2019s untouchable.\u2019<\/p>\n Demetriou attended the wedding with his wife and also his son, Ohio Republican representative, Steven J. Demetriou Jr. <\/p>\n Demetriou Jr. described the wedding to reporters afterward as \u2018epic, great and life-changing.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t Demetriou does have personal ties to the groom, being the adoptive father of Kelce\u2019s close childhood friend, basketball player Reggie King.<\/p>\n His company, Amentum Services, took over the operation of Camp East Montana in March this year, after Homeland Security ended its $1.3 billion contract with Acquisition Logistics LLC.<\/p>\n Since opening in August 2025, the camp \u2013 so far the largest of its kind \u2013 has been beset with controversy for its treatment of detainees, loss of money, and the alleged \u2018destruction or loss of evidence\u2019 in a detainee death investigation.<\/p>\n At least three people have died while in custody at Camp East Montana, including Geraldo Lunas Campos, whose death was ruled homicide by the El Paso County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n On June 9, a report by the Government Accountability Office said that \u2018the contractor did not provide use of force and death reports to ICE, as required.<\/p>\n \u2018In addition, evidence associated with the incident was missing or destroyed.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t The GAO\u2019s report also outlined negligence in the facility\u2019s healthcare and sanitation, following an outbreak of measles which spread into the nearby community.<\/p>\n It also found that ICE had not inspected the centre prior to opening \u2013 meaning that it did so without perimeter security cameras or space for family and attorney visitation.<\/p>\n In April, ICE terminated its contract with Acquisition Logistics, handing over the reigns to Amentum Services to operate the facility through September.<\/p>\n Of its new partnership with Amentum Services, a spokesperson for ICE told El Paso Matters<\/a>: \u2018This new contractor will allow Camp East Montana to continue abiding by the highest detention standards with the ability to provide more medical care on-site.<\/p>\n \u2018This contract also allows more on-site staff and a precise quality assurance surveillance plan. ICE will have even more oversight of the contractors at this facility. Far from closing, Camp East Montana is upgrading.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t Demetriou is not the only guest to have raised eyebrows from Swift\u2019s fans.<\/p>\n Also attending the ceremony was Brad Pitt, who is facing backlash following allegations of a rift between the actor and his family.<\/p>\n Most recently, eldest son Maddox Jolie-Pitt filed to drop his famous father\u2019s surname<\/a>, hence becoming known as Maddox Chivan Jolie.<\/p>\n He becomes the fourth of Pitt\u2019s children with actress Angelina Jolie to change their surname. <\/p>\n Reports of a family feud follows allegations that the Fight Club star had argued with Maddox during a 2016 flight, putting his hands on the then-15-year old.<\/p>\n Pitt has repeatedly denied the allegations and the FBI cleared him of wrongdoing.<\/p>\n \t\t One moment at the ceremony has sparked outrage after Girls star Lena Dunham reportedly left fellow attendees shocked.<\/a><\/p>\n According to <\/a>Daily Mail<\/a>, her speech<\/a> described football as \u2018just straight guys reenacting gay porn.\u2019<\/p>\n Metro has contacted Taylor Swift\u2019s representatives for comment.<\/p>\n Arrow Arrow Arrow![\"Taylor](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/SEI_291094428-3ec1.jpg\")
