Who receives Social Security on Wednesday, July 8?<\/p>\n

Of the 71.2 million Social Security recipients in the U.S., many are paid on the second, third or fourth Wednesday in each month<\/a>, depending on their date of birth.<\/p>\n

July 8 is this month\u2019s second Wednesday, so Social Security benefits are due to go out to beneficiaries born from the first to the 10th of any month. <\/p>\n

July 2026\u2019s full three-Wednesdays schedule is:Born on 1st-10th of any month: Wednesday, July 8Born on 11th-20th of any month: Wednesday, July 15Born on 21st-31st of any month: Wednesday, July 22<\/p>\n

NB: If you claim Social Security based on someone else\u2019s employment history, the SSA refers to the other person\u2019s birthday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

People who began receiving Social Security before May 1997 were paid their July benefits on Thursday 2<\/a>, no matter their birthday.<\/p>\n

Thursday was also this month\u2019s Social Security distribution date for recipients who combine the program with Supplemental Security Income<\/a> (SSI), a benefit for certain low-income, low-resource individuals. SSI payments, meanwhile, were scheduled to be issued on Wednesday, July 1<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Social Security is typically sent out to the above long-term and twin recipients on the third of the month, but payment was brought forward because July 3 was a federal holiday.<\/p>\n
