Liverpool have expressed their willingness to pay RB Leipzig around \u00a386m for Yan Diomande, who has become one of Europe’s most sought-after attackers<\/p>\n

Yan Diomande has been told why he should reject Paris Saint-Germain and move to Liverpool instead this summer. The Reds have identified the RB Leipzig winger as a top target to replace Mohamed Salah<\/a>, having already secured Victor Munoz’s services.<\/p>\n

Liverpool have told the Bundesliga club that they will pay about \u00a386m for Diomande, a valuation equating to a package worth about \u20ac100m. Leipzig previously indicated they would seek around \u20ac130m (\u00a3112m) to sell the 19-year-old, who is claimed to have chosen PSG as his next destination if he leaves Leipzig this summer.<\/p>\n

But former <\/a>Reds attacking midfielder Joe Cole has told the Ivory Coast international why he should think again about moving to the reigning Champions League<\/a> holders.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of top-level wingers in world football right now, but Diomande is as good as I\u2019ve seen, he\u2019s so explosive,” Cole said, via Paddy Power..<\/p>\n

\u201cMy advice to him as a young player is don\u2019t bother going to PSG. Go to Liverpool <\/a>because if they want you and there\u2019s a hole in the team to play, then they really need you.<\/p>\n

\u201cPSG don\u2019t need anybody, but maybe his heart is set on Paris. If that\u2019s the case and he backs himself, I\u2019ve got no problem with that.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut if Liverpool still want him, go out and convince him because I think that would be the move that suits him best.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, back in April, Red Bull chief Oliver Mintzlaff made it clear that Diomande was not for sale this summer.<\/p>\n

He said: “I can say: ‘If I were sporting director, I wouldn’t sell this young player, who hasn’t even completed a full season with us’.<\/p>\n

“No matter what price is being asked. I believe he’s a player who can still develop further, because he’s still very young. And he can certainly become more expensive.”<\/p>\n

Before Mintzlaff added: “Of course, there are other clubs where players also want to take the next step \u2013 FC Bayern is one of them, but also clubs from England and Spain.<\/p>\n

“But we have to expect that a player, even if he delivers outstanding performances here, doesn’t leave again after just one year.<\/p>\n

“Therefore, I can only recommend to the management that they keep this player with us for the coming season. And then we’ll have to see how he develops.<\/p>\n

“We want to play in the Champions League<\/a>. And that’s naturally an argument for such a young player to then deliver what he’s shown in a second season and potentially develop further \u2013 also at an international level.<\/p>\n

“So we have many good arguments. And the best argument is a long-term contract. Therefore, I’m completely relaxed about the whole matter.”<\/p>\n
