Last night (July 5), the band returned to the capital for their biggest headline concert to date, with The Last Dinner Party<\/a>,\u00a0Lykke Li<\/a>,\u00a0Rachel Chinouriri<\/a>, Keo, and Florence Road<\/a> opening on the day.<\/p>\n

The huge gig came in support of their Mercury<\/a>-shortlisted and\u00a0BRIT-nominated<\/a> album \u2018The Clearing\u2019<\/a>, with \u2018Bloom Baby Bloom\u2019, \u2018Just Two Girls\u2019, \u2018Leaning Against the Wall\u2019, \u2018Bread Butter Tea Sugar\u2019 and \u2018The Sofa\u2019 from the record all played in last night\u2019s set.<\/p>\n

Ellie Rowsell and co. also gave \u2018White Leather\u2019 its tour debut, and nodded to the North London area just up the road from Finsbury Park with \u2018Gospel Oak\u2019 \u2013 the first of three songs from a new 7\u201d B-side package the band are set to release digitally<\/a> over the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

As the set drew to a close with \u2018The Last Man on Earth\u2019, \u2018Don\u2019t Delete the Kisses\u2019 and \u2018Moaning Lisa Smile\u2019, the band launched into a cover of Nirvana\u2019s \u2018Nevermind\u2019 hit \u2018Smells Like Teen Spirit\u2019, and wrapped the huge gig with \u2018Giant Peach\u2019.<\/p>\n

Sunday evening\u2019s show was the final night in a run of huge Finsbury Park gigs this weekend. Biffy Clyro headlined the park on Friday (July 3), joined by Nothing But Thieves, Don Broco, Marmozets and Wavves<\/a>, while\u00a0Kasabian topped the bill on Saturday (July 4), with support from Louis Dunford, Razorlight, The K\u2019s, Miles Kane and SOFY<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As for Wolf Alice, they are gearing up to mark the first anniversary of \u2018The Clearing<\/a>\u2019 in August.\u00a0The album went on to become their second UK Number One, and, in a five-star review<\/a>,\u00a0NME noted that it saw the band \u201csettling into new levels of self-acceptance and self-assurance\u201d.<\/p>\n

The album was also shortlisted for the\u00a0Mercury Prize<\/a>, making\u00a0Wolf Alice the\u00a0first\u00a0band in the\u00a0prize\u2019s\u00a0history to be nominated for\u00a0all of\u00a0their first four\u00a0albums<\/a>. They later won Group Of The Year at the 2026 BRIT Awards, where\u00a0Rowsell used the band\u2019s acceptance speech to call for more support for grassroots music venues<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The band\u00a0have\u00a0had a busy year so far, recently\u00a0performing \u2018White Horses\u2019 and \u2018Leaning Against\u00a0The\u00a0Wall\u2019 on\u00a0SNL UK<\/a>, before closing out the 2026 Teenage Cancer Trust series at the Royal Albert Hall.<\/p>\n

Wolf Alice\u00a0are\u00a0also set\u00a0to support Olivia Rodrigo on the opening North American leg of her huge \u2018Unraveled Tour\u2019 later this year<\/a>, alongside other special guests including\u00a0The Last Dinner Party<\/a>, Devon Again,\u00a0Die Spitz<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Grace Ives<\/a>.<\/p>\n
