Cardiff have confirmed the signing of Wales outside-half Jarrod Evans from Harlequins.<\/p>\n
Evans was a fan favourite at the Arms Park before joining Harlequins for the 2023\/24 season before making 48 appearances for the English giants.<\/p>\n
During his previous stint in Cardiff<\/a>, Evans made 126 appearances, scored 765 points and helped the Blue & Blacks to the European Challenge Cup title in 2018.<\/p>\n JOIN OUR WALES RUGBY FACEBOOK PAGE Latest news, analysis and much more<\/a><\/p>\n The 29-year-old has now decided to return to his former club ahead of the 2026\/27 season.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m so pleased to be coming back to Cardiff. I came through the system at the Arms Park from 14 years old, I have so many good memories in Blue & Black and a lot of my friends are still at the club,” said Evans.<\/p>\n \u201cI have kept a close eye on how well they have been going while I was away, whether watching from the stands or afar, and the brand of rugby and atmosphere has been electric.<\/p>\n “So, I am really excited about coming back and being part of it as the club celebrates its 150th season.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like I have matured as a player and person. It\u2019s good to get different experiences. I\u2019ve had three with Harlequins where I was out of my comfort zone, experiencing a different environment and style, so hopefully there are things I can bring back to Cardiff.<\/p>\n \u201cI want to help build on the success I\u2019ve seen since I left. We have so many good, young, talented players coming through with some established senior internationals as well.<\/p>\n “I just want to add what I can, and hopefully the club can go on and build on last season.\u201d<\/p>\n Evans will compete with the likes of Callum Sheedy, Ioan Lloyd and Harri Wilde at the Arms Park, ensuring there is plenty of strength in depth at the Arms Park.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m really excited to add Jarrod to our squad,” said Cardiff head coach Corniel van Zyl.<\/p>\n “Obviously he is returning to his home club, and this place means a lot to him.<\/p>\n \u201cHe has been competing at the highest level for a long-term and he\u2019s gone and got some new experiences at Harlequins, which will only have improved him.<\/p>\n \u201cMoving into the Champions Cup, we felt fly-half was an area we needed to strengthen and he will now compete with Callum Sheedy and Ioan Lloyd in a pivotal position for the team where we have some real strength.<\/p>\n \u201cEveryone at the Arms Park will know his attacking style of play and I am looking forward to seeing that, but he has also developed his game at Quins.<\/p>\n “He has a really balanced game between attacking and control.<\/p>\n \u201cHe will also bring a lot off the pitch, helping drive our standards, culture and environment.\u201d<\/p>\n Follow all of our channels to ensure you stay up to date with the latest Welsh rugby news.
