{"id":68190,"date":"2025-08-15T05:43:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-15T05:43:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/68190\/"},"modified":"2025-08-15T05:43:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-15T05:43:09","slug":"carlisle-villa-boxing-club-reflects-on-year-of-success-at-awards-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/68190\/","title":{"rendered":"Carlisle Villa Boxing Club reflects on year of success at awards event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Carlisle Villa Amateur Boxing Club\u00a0celebrated a hugely successful season when they held their annual awards at the Harraby Catholic Club.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The club reflected on what has been one of its best seasons both inside and outside of the ring.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Villa once again saw over 30 boxers register to box competitively this year while major panel judge George Graves and Class A referee Jimmy Brennan have been very busy officiating on shows and championships all over the region.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Having travelled to shows all across England and Scotland, the club also put on two highly successful home shows at The Crown &amp; Mitre Hotel where 16 and 15 bouts and one skills contest took place to sell-out crowds, with Villa boxers featuring in all bouts on both bills.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   alt=\"Olivier Jemilijanovas was named best junior boxer \" style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>Olivier Jemilijanovas was named best junior boxer (Image: Carlisle Villa)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The club competed in over 170 contests on club shows and attended box cups all over the country, they also attended a box cup in Dublin, the club returning with gold medals from all events.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The club had a fantastic run in the National Championships, with regional champions at all levels.
